Well apparently Mr. Bush speaking in Seattle, Washington on August 13th believes that Airbus, an European aircraft manufacturer, is receiving "large government subsidies from European nations", and he will try to stop the European from giving subsidies to Airbus inorder for Airbus to compete fairly with Boeing.

Airbus make better jets, that's his problem. Anyway it would only make it a level playing field if the taxes weren't much higher in Europe - which they are.

Boeing has some pretty good jets too.

Indeed, the succecful planes of Boeing the 737 and 747 also the smaller 717.
