To me the the most out standing truck made today besides the Volvo F16 Intercooler witch had the high tech engine of its time along with none other then the Volvo F12 Intercooler is the Volvo FH 12 "Globerotor XL". The Volvo F 16/12 were the reason that I found an intrest in trucks in the firts place. I daughted even Volvo can desing a truck that can satisfy me as much a Volvo F16/12 could. When the Volvo FH 12 had firts come to iran I just couldent wait to go and Veiw it from the inside.

The volvo FH 12 is equiped with D12 6 cylinder 12.1 deisel powerd engine. It comes in powers of 380, 420, 460 and 500 hurse powers. And a breaking performance of 285 kW at 2,300 r/min.

Releasd in 1987 the volvo f16 had one of the srtrongest engines in the the market. With a d12 engine and 12 speed gear box. The f16 was soon aproved for not only standard transportaion but also special operations such as timber witch can wiegh a up to 60 tonnes and in auteralia up to 115 tonnes. After the releas of volvo f16 and the improvment of the f12 and f10 volvo resseived high tech engine of the year.

(The electronic ?Geartronic? transmission, on the other hand, was not a completely new generation of gearboxes but an electronic version of proven range-change gearboxes with integrated computer-assisted gear-change. This trend setting transmission option soon became a popular choice in operations such as long-distance transport or heavy regional distribution transport.)

(In contrast to the Powertronic, the Geartronic was not of the torque-converter type, so power from the engine to the wheels was interrupted during automatic gear-changing operations, making the Powertronic unsuitable for some transport tasks such as construction site transport and timber trucks.)

*To test the really power of my fh 12 I put the gear in 1 with 8 tons of wieght on thr truck and released the cluch with out aplying any thrust suprisingly the truck did not go off (you'de know what i mean if you driven standard veachols befor)
