На нем установлены новые двигатели 5го поколения САТ 41, разработанные в знаменитом конструкторском бюро Люлька-Сатурн. И как всегда, при создании нового, необычного, необходимо осмыслить, понять в чем изюминка сделанного, что можно ждать от новой машины, а это годы работы сотни и сотни испытательных полетов.

Engine manufacturing is no doubt the most scientific area of both aviation and space industries. Only the engine gives the aircraft power to overcome the inertia. We must be grateful to the generations of scientists, designers and engineers for the fact that Russia today is among few leading countries like USA, France, England and Germany, to be capable of building any kind of engines for different aircrafts. Human creativity, as well as the drive for scientific development, cannot be stopped. Despite the difficulties of creating new engines and future generation aircrafts. On winter 2000 the new fighter jet 144 created by MiG Corporation made it’s maiden flight from an airfield in Zukovski, near Moscow. New, fifth generation engines SAT 41 developed by famous design bureau Lulka-Saturn were installed on this aircraft. And, as always, when something new, unusual is being created, we have to look at it from a new perspective and think of what we can expect from this new machine. This takes years of hard work, hundreds of test flights.
